Fried Egg Tostadas
Fried Egg tostadas, inspired by Mexican cuisine, is as delicious as it is versatile. These crispy treats are a perfect fusion of flavors and textures, guaranteed to satisfy your cravings any time of day. First, the crispy corn tortillas are toasted in the oven until golden and crisp, providing the perfect base for the toppings.
Next, the fried eggs are seasoned with chili powder, salt, and pepper. A perfectly cooked fried egg can elevate any dish, and it's no different with these tostadas. To achieve that ideal fried egg, start by heating a skillet over medium heat and adding a bit of oil or butter. Crack your egg into the skillet and let it cook until the whites are set but the yolk is still runny. This ensures a luscious, creamy center that will ooze out when you take that first bite.
Finally, it’s time to assemble the fried egg tostadas. Start by placing a generous spoonful of refried beans onto each tostada shell, spreading it out evenly. Next, carefully place your perfectly fried egg on the beans, ensuring the yolk remains intact. Then, top it all off with creamy avocado slices, fresh pico de gallo, cotija cheese, and chopped cilantro. You can add a dash of your favorite hot sauce as well!
The combination of crispy tostada shell, creamy beans, egg, and flavorful toppings will tantalize your taste buds with every bite! Whether enjoyed for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, fried egg tostadas will become a staple in your kitchen.
